As Christians, new and old, we all need to know Jesus and his teachings in order to serve Him better.  One way to accomplish this is by studying his Word.  The Christian Education Committee strives to provide our congregation with opportunities to study the Word of God together through Sunday school classes and small study groups that meet at different times during the year.  These allow us to grow in discipleship and fellowship.

Wrestling with God: The Story of Jacob

Are you an imperfect person? Guess what, God is still calling you to incredible ministry in His Kingdom. In this series, we will explore the life of Jacob, an imperfect man through whom God did amazing things. Are you struggling with God's call in your life? Does the journey sometimes seem more like a wrestling match than a leisurely stroll through the garden? Do you sometimes wonder how God could possibly do something extraordinary through you and your gifts? In this study, we will seek the answers to these questions together, as we wrestle with the question; how do we respond to God's call in our lives?
Come join this six-week study led by Pastor Steve beginning on Thursday, September 14 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in Room 8.

BASIC (Brothers And Sisters In Christ) Bible Study

Current Series: “Why in the World"

Sunday, October 1st - October 22nd, at 10:00 am in Room 8.

Why would God leave the comfort and recognition of heaven to live on this ball of dirt in a time before morphine and indoor plumbing when the best of conditions barely paralleled the worst of modern day conditions? Why?
We think we know why He died. But what compelled him to live as one of us?

Women's Bible Study

Tuesdays at 7:00 PM in the Library, the Women's’ Bible Study
Led by Kaci Wood, will focus on the book "Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament" by Lysa TerKeurst.

Even in times when we don't know what's ahead, we can always trust in the one who is already there.
As believers, we can witness examples of Jesus' presence and assurance throughout the Bible, even in the Old Testament! We tend to think of Jesus as being only physically present in the New Testament, but did you know He was active in the Old Testament right from the start? It's so important to study how Jesus makes His presence known in every part of the Bible, because this will help us experience more of His presence in our day-to-day lives right now.
Jesus is never absent from the pages of Scripture, and He's certainly not absent in the pages of our stories either. He's there, from cover to cover.
