Bright Beginnings Child Care of Carlisle offers year-round full time child care to children ages 2 ½ though 5th grade. Care includes before and after school care for those students attending W.G. Rice Elementary and Iron Forge Education Center. Summer Care for school age children is also provided. BBCCC is open from 6:30 AM until 5:30 PM Monday to Friday. Bright Beginnings Child Care of Carlisle participates with CCIS of Cumberland County and the Keystone Stars Program, proudly sustaining a STAR 4 rating.

What is Keystone STARS?
Keystone STARS rates child care programs from one to four STARS on things you care about. Programs may meet state regulations for safety, and offer a kid-friendly atmosphere with good teachers that partner with you to help your child learn. Child care and Head Start programs within Keystone STARS earn a STAR 1 to STAR 4 rating based on quality standards that measure:
- Staff education: Early childhood teachers have the training and knowledge for working with young children
- Classroom/Learning environment: The program has a variety of materials and activities for each age level that makes it possible for children to learn something new every day!
- Including families and the community: Families and community members are encouraged to become a part of the child’s learning progress
- Leadership and management: A quality program has to have sound business practices to ensure your child’s safety and early learning

Child care philosophy
We believe children are special and deserve the very best of care while their parents are working to provide for them. Children will be treated with respect at all times. We teach children using a child centered philosophy geared to meet the individual interests of each child. Lessons will be conducted using a hands on approach. Lessons will also include stories, songs, and activities based on the Bible. We feel this is essential for a Christian based program. Regardless of your religious creed, we believe that spiritual and moral development is vital for well developed children. We strive to provide a relaxed, happy, and safe environment in order for children to develop socially, spiritually, physically, and educationally.
- Bright Beginnings Child Care of Carlisle is a non-profit Child Care Center, therefore, the tuition you pay goes directly back into the operating costs of the Center!
- Our Goal is to offer quality, loving child care based on Christ centered principles to the surrounding community.
- Our program has a rich learning environment which encourages your child to inquire, investigate, and enjoy the learning and play experiences offered.
- Through our program, the child should achieve a feeling of success and gain a sense of security. Each child should know he/she is a special person and have a good self image.
