Path of Discipleship

The Education Committee and others at Otterbein are offering studies throughout the week and at various times throughout the year. These are on various topics and are offered with the hope and prayer that we can all find something new to help us in our own individual paths of discipleship.

Adult Sunday School Classes

New class members are always welcome!
Please do not think you have to wait for a new study to join!
Check out all the classes until you find a class just right for you.
Sunday morning classes meet from 9:45 to 10:30.

Living In Faith Everyday

Sunday mornings 9:45 to 10:30 Room 12/13
May 5 until June 23 - This "Irresitible" study by Andy Stanley will invite you to embrace the version of faith that, against all odds, initiated a chain of events resulting in the most significant and extensive cultural transformation the world has ever seen. We are to embrace this version if we are to be salt and light in an increasingly savorless and dark world.
Sessions include: May 5) Simply Resistible; May 19) Brand-New Agreement; May 26) The Bible According to Jesus; June 2) The Irresistible Ethic; June 9) What Love Requires; and June 23) A New Approach. (Please note we will not be meeting May 12 or June 16.)

Brothers And Sisters In Christ

Sunday mornings 9:45 to 10:30 Room 8
On April 28 we will begin a five week series for “When God Doesn’t Fix It” (“Learning to walk in God’s plans instead of our own”). The presenter is Laura Story. Her life took an unexpected turn when her husband, Mark, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The news brought Laura’s dreams of a fairy-tale life to an end. Yet it also brought her a deeper intimacy with God as she turned to him and allowed him to rewrite her story. In this five session curriculum, Laura shows that while God may not fix every broken thing in our lives, he will lead us to a place where we are better because of it.

Loyal Bible Class

Sunday mornings 9:45 to 10:30 Room 9/10
We are currently studying The International Lesson Series: Uniform Series in a 6-year plan for reading and studying the Bible. The International Uniform Series believes the Bible is the record of God in Christ, the key resource for understanding the Christian faith, being under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the fellowship of His Spirit.
This Spring quarter is concentrated on the theme “Discipleship and Mission” and study of Scripture passages from Matthew, Mark, Luke, Acts, and Romans.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study
